Kenya - Day 2: Nairobi to Nakuru

Nakuru is a district that is the capital of the Rift Valley province of Kenya. It is located north-west of Nairobi, across the Great Rift Valley. The Great Rift Valley is a 3,700 mile-long one that extends from Syria to Mozambique. There is a popular view point on this rift that is visited by almost all travelers on the route from Nairobi to Nakuru. We had a stopover at this place to get a view and take some pictures. There were many souvenir shops on the way where we can find the arts and crafts exclusive to Kenya, some of which are the wooden sculptures of African villagers and warriors, the beads work and accessories.  Our vehicle was a private Land Cruiser 4-wheel drive that was reserved for us for the whole trip. To reach Nakuru it took around 6 hours. On the way we stopped for little breaks. The sky was filled with clouds all the way long. And the chill breeze and the excitement of visiting the park kept us fresh for hours of travel.
