Cloudy with a chance of birds

Vedanthangal being a paradise near Chennai, is one among the oldest bird sanctuaries of India. It is this season when the rains are just leaving, that this place is showered with a wide variety of species. During this season, one can find birds sitting on plants, more than flowers. Most of them being white in color, the place puts on a peaceful ambiance for the visitors. The birds themselves being visitors migrate here around the month of November and leave by the early months of the following year. Heron, Stork and Grey Pelican form the majority among the birds that fly in during this season. It would be a paradise for the bird photographers in and around Chennai. One can find birds flying in all directions and their various angles of flight and  smooth gliding. No wonder, The Wright Brothers invented the aircraft by observing them. One can relieve gain relief from their stress by gazing at these wonderful living beings. There are plenty of chairs along the walking path at the sanctuary to sit as a family and enjoy the season of the birds. As I said earlier, now is the right time to pay a visit to the bird sanctuary for a pleasant weekend trip not very far from the city.

Here is a collection of the various birds which i had captured during their flight across the lake. And I also gave a try to get a panorama shot of the whole lake with my 75-300mm zoom lens as the curvature is way less compared to the basic kit lens or any prime lens. This would make the image easy for stitching.
